DARIS Center for Scientific Research and Technology Development received the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification from QS Zurich AG, Switzerland, on Wednesday 19 December 2018. The quality management system of DARIS was audited and approved by the Lead Auditor Mr. G. Jayaganesan from QS Zurich AG, Switzerland. The final certification audit on Quality Management has been successfully completed. During the audit, it was very constructive on reviewing the administration and its technical compliance on providing analytical services and training programs that corresponds to the academic, research and industrial needs of domestic as well as international. Dr. Issa Al-Amri, Director of DARIS Research Center, said that the management started the implementation of quality management system to standardize its process in accordance with the international standard requirements. To result the highest level of standardization to lead in the global market has taken almost a year. DARIS Research Center provide analytical services, such as examination of tissue and cell,, DNA & protein sequencing and cell sorting, microbial identification, residue analysis in water & food, testing of rock, soil, clay and water for minerals & elements, tissue & cell, drug & crude oil analysis, training and research assistancetesting rocks, soil, clay, water for metals and elements, drug and crude oil analysis. In addition, the Center provides analytical services, training programs, and research assistance for academics, industries, researchers, and students. The center equipped with state of the art equipment for the analysis of a wide range of material. The multidisciplinary background of researchers and technical specialists at DARIS Research Center brings a broad prospective to the study of life and material sciences enabling us to work closely with scientists and experts from different fields both at the academic and industrial level. Facilities of DARIS Center include Electronic Microscopy Unit, Histology and Immunohistochemistry Unit, Mass Spectrometry & Chromatography unit, and the Biotechnology Unit.
