The orientation program for the new students of Department of Mathematical and Physical Science was organized on 23rd October, 2018 at 01:00 PM in AlShaba auditorium. Dr. Gary welcomed the students to the Orientation Program. The Chief Guest of the programme, Dr . Ghassan Al Shater, Dean, CAS addressed the newly joined students. In his address to the students, Dr Ghassan spoke about the importance of math and science education.

The Head of the department Dr. Khizar Hayat shared the university vision, mission and graduate aptitude of university of Nizwa. This has been followed by presentation by Dr. Baiju Dyanandan, DMPS academic officer, in which he guided students on the pattern, rules and regulations of academic advising at university of Nizwa. .Head of the sections Dr. Abdual Adheem , Prof. Kadhim Ahmed, Dr. Khizar Hayat  and Dr. Anwer Khurshid  gave necessary information about the academic design of  study plan and the University rules and regulations regarding academic matters. The program ended by creating a significant impact on the students of the DMPS and motivating them to achieve great heights.
