College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) organized MA students gathering under the patronage of CAS A/Dean Dr. Ghassan Hassan Al-Shater, on Thursday 04/10/2018 at Al-Mashareq Hall. This meeting is part of a series of meetings aimed at maintaining links to graduate students and listening to their suggestions and observations. The meeting was attended by a group of graduate students, Head of Departments and faculty members.

Dr. Ghassan welcomed the gathering and reminded them of the achievements of the college in the improvement and development of graduate studies during the past years, and that new MA student will benefit from this achievement. The Dean urged the students to start to prepare their MA thesis starting from the second semester of their course registration. The Dean clarified that they have the right to receive a distinguished supervision during their MA thesis preparation.

After that, Dr. Mohamed Aissa, Graduate Studies Officer at the Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, encouraged MA students to take advantage of research projects included in some courses such as "Research Methodologies" and "Computerized Statistics" and apply relevant research projects on their MA thesis. The students were then given the opportunity to express their opinions and suggestions, most of which focused on the preparation of the thesis and comprehensive examination.
