Sc. in Botany from Islamia College University Peshawar, Pakistan in 1997 and B.Sc. in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan in 1994. His research interests are Ethnobotany and Taxonomic studies of Flora of Oman, Biodiversity and conservation, Molecular Phylogeny, DNA Barcoding, Allelopathic studies of plants of Oman
