He has joined University of Nizwa in 21 August 2022, as Associate Professor. Previously he served as an academic staff at University of Technology and Applied Sciences-Nizwa from 2003 till 2022 and headed the general requirement department there from 2011 till 2015 and from 2018 till 2020. He taught several courses in mathematics and statistics, published some statistical papers and participated in conferences and symposiums. He also worked in Ministry of Education as a math advisor from 2001 till 2003 and as a teacher at school from 1994 till 2001. He received his PhD (Statistics) degree in 2007 from UKM in Malaysia, Msc (statistics) in 2002 from SQU (Oman), and B.Sc. in education (Mathematics) in 1994 from SQU(Oman). His areas of interest are ranked set sampling and its modifications, testing hypotheses as well as estimations.
