I am currently working at the Foundation Institute as an English Instructor. Before this position, I worked as an English Instructor at the Culture and Intensive English Program, University of Northern Iowa, U.S.A, where I earned my Masters of Arts in TESOL. I received my bachelor’s degree in English and Literature from Cairo University, Egypt. I also have a FELT (Fundamentals of English Language Teaching) certificate from the American University in Cairo. I taught Academic English and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for university students in Egypt. I have dealt with students from various cultural backgrounds as well as students with varying levels of proficiency. These experiences have given me a solid understanding of teaching English to speakers of other languages. As a bilingual person, I understand the challenges students face and thus, enjoy assisting students in learning and improving their academic English.
