Reza Sattarzadeh Nowbari is an English teacher in the foundation Institute of University of Nizwa. He holds a BA in English Translation Theories and an MA in English Literature. He has successfully finished the Cambridge ESOL programs of CELTA and DELTA and has over 8 years of experience in English teaching. Prior to his current appointment in University of Nizwa, he worked for 4.5 years in Kish Institute of Science and Technology in Iran and 2.5 years in University of Nizwa. In 2014, he began to pursue his post-graduate studies at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand in the school of English. During his two-year period at Victoria University of Wellington, he worked as a teaching assistant in the undergraduate English program and taught courses on ‘Literary Forms’ and ‘Narrative’. In the first semester of 2015-16 educational year, he returned to full-time employment at University of Nizwa and began his second tenure here.

In his free time, Reza enjoys reading and playing football and travelling.
