``Leon Michael Maroney works as an EFL instructor in the FI program here at the University of Nizwa. Before arriving in Nizwa in September, he taught EFL in Istanbul, Turkey for five years at Bahcesehir University`s English Preparatory Program, including three years as a Level Coordinator. He also taught EFL in Hiroshima, Japan for three years at the high school level and for three additional years in Kobe at a private language school. Before working in Japan, Leon taught ESL in his hometown of Washington, D.C. He received his BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1999 and a TEFL certificate from Lado International College in 2000.``
