A group of students from the Department of Foreign Languages performed a play that they wrote themselves on  Tuesday 11 December 2018, in front of the Dean, their teachers, a few faculty from other departments, the department coordinators and many students. 

Not only they invented the play, but they did it in French! 

As a part of they Graduation Project, they used their courses of literature (particularly they classes on Drama), and transformed the text of a classical comedy from France into a modern day-drama taking place in Oman. 

This is the story of the play: Khulood, an Omani girl who is about to start the university, is dreaming to study the media in order to work on TV, but her father refuses to let her pursue this career. The play shows the efforts that all the family is putting into trying to respect each other and help each other to fulfill their dreams and their duties. 

The main author of the play, Kholood Yaser, managed the whole project in a collaborative manner, under the supervision of Dr Guillaume Thouroude, assistant professor in French. Khulood Yaser found the energy and the creativity to form a great team and to make everybody work in a good spirit, showing a great level of autonomy. The actors were also magnificent: the leading actress Khulood Ali played wonderfully the young dreamer, with a perfect pronunciation, and Hisham, the male student who played Mohammed, the father, was also an impressive actor. All the other participants of this projects proved to be be very talented and committed.
