Training is defined as a learning process that is offered to enhance work performance and productivity of administrative and professional staff and bolster understanding and cooperation between various work units.

Training department in the Center for HR Development works on HR development including updating various work system, drafting HR plans and appraising workforce performance to determine the strengths, weaknesses and areas that require special attention. It also drafts performance indexes to compare between the actual and targeted performance.

 

Types of Training

  1. External training: A training taking place outside the university or any of the training facilities or colleges. It is usually tailored for individuals.

  2. Internal training: It takes place inside the university and it is conducted for a group of people. It requires pre-registration.

  3. Seminars: Lectures and training workshops for no more than two hours. It is made for public.

     

Submission of Training Application

The center collects and determines training needs for university staff at the beginning of each academic year. To facilitate the data gathering process, the center cooperates with the Center for Information Systems to achieve this task.
