A group of students from DHAD Institute for TASOL participates in Sohar Ship Seminar at Muscat
DHAD Institute for TASOL participated in “Sohar Voyage Symposim, "Interpretation & Outlook" Seminar organized by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture at Lecture Hall at Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque on the for the anniversary of 35 years of Sohar Ship sailing from Sour to Canton under the patronage of His Excellency Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture. A group of researchers and specialists from the Sultanate, China, and some European countries have participated in the seminar to sustain historical relations with the Republic of China. The seminar aims to present the development of the historical relations in both cultural and economic fields between the Sultanate and the Republic of China as well as to highlight the contribution of the Omani sailors and traders in strengthening relations between Oman and China in the marine history of Oman. The students participated in attending the seminar as part of their academic science, in which they talked in Arabic with the Chinese and expressed their love and passion to learn the Arabic Language. The students met some counselors and diplomats of the Consulate of China, who convey their admiration and desire to participate at such seminars. It is worth mentioning that student’s participation in the seminar is part of the Academic and Cultural Program prepared by DHAD Institute for TASOL mainly for their students. The Institute gives much care to maintain the students role by executing events for external and internal visits that connect the students with the surrounded environment and making them a part of the Omani society. This can be achieved by mixing students with the values and culture of the society, which in turn can strengthen the communication between the Arab and Foreign communities.
